ACCESSIBLE BIRDING: ALL PERSON’S TRAIL

May 11th, Saturday, 8AM - 10AM
Pleasant Valley’s beaver ponds, wetlands, woods and meadows are the perfect places to see warblers, tanagers, orioles and more during spring migration and nesting season. This introductory bird watching program takes place along the newly expanded All Person’s Trails. They’ll provide binoculars plus bird watching and mindfulness tips as you explore the gentle, accessible trail that extends from the sanctuary entrance through meadows and woods to the shores of Pike’s pond. Perfect for beginners and birders of all abilities. An all-terrain collator and Grit Freedom chair are available to borrow.

CATA 30TH ANNIVERSARY GALA: ANNUAL PERFORMANCE

Celebrate 30 years of art and inclusion with Community Access to the Arts! CATA’s unforgettable Gala Evening features a thrilling performance by artists with disabilities in music, acting, dance, juggling and comedy — plus a fabulous afterparty with dinner by Mezzo catering and dancing to DJ BFG. Proceeds support CATA’s life-changing arts programs for people with disabilities. Join the team at Shakespeare & Company for one of the most joy-filled events of the year. This year’s theme is CATAverse, and attire is Berkshires chique! There will also be a matinee performance on Sunday.

MOTHER’S DAY TEA: ELEGANT OFFERINGS

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 GARDENS

The David M. Hunt Library will present “Around the World in 80 Gardens” with Professor Richard Benfield. He will show garden enthusiasts and laymen alike the different and unique gardens and floral kingdoms of the world. He will take attendees through the three acres of gardens in Singapore Airport, the arid gardens of Australia, the tropical gardens of the Seychelles & Canary Islands, the beautiful English country gardens of his home finishing with the unique and different gardens in the United States and Canada. In total, 80 gardens on six continents. Free.
