FORESTS AND BRAIN HEALTH: TREES OF LIFE
VIRTUAL
April 17th, Saturday, 4PM
Recent research confirms the many brain health benefits of forests but the idea itself is as old as many forests themselves. Frederick Law Olmstead, architect of Central Park, and others of his era heralded the health benefits of public parks and wild areas. Now we know that protected areas and natural ecosystems are also essential to remove and store carbon and to prevent extinction. Join Susan A. Masino, the Vernon D. Roosa Professor of Applied Science at Trinity College, and discover the power of trees and forests as “multisolvers”—systemic solutions that protect the climate while improving health, equality and well-being. Free.
