DRIVE BY WALK BY ART SHOW: ARTISTS EMERGE
July 3rd, Friday, 4 - 8PM

Pittsfield’s thriving art scene is taking to the streets with a Drive-By, Bike-By, Walk-By City Art Show. Artists who work in photography, sculpture, ceramics, film and fashion will be lining the street—appropriately distanced with viewers remaining 6 feet away—for people to appreciate the arts first-hand. There will be a map available to visit artists, or you can stroll down the street viewing the art displayed from porches, trees, lawns, driveways, storefronts and more! BOSTON POPS: SALUTE TO OUR HEROES
July 4th, Saturday, 8 - 11PM

This year’s Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, a long-lasting Independence Day tradition, will present A Boston Pops Salute to Our Heroes, honoring the front-line and essential workers as well as those who have lost lives to the coronavirus. The event will feature both new content and retrospective highlights from the most beloved recent performers including Melissa Etheridge, Arlo Guthrie and Leslie Odom, Jr. With America’s Orchestra taking center stage, the event will include the Boston Pops’ newly released video production and viral hit of John Williams’ Summon the Heroes. The evening begins with Broadway legend Brian Stokes Mitchell singing America the Beautiful and concludes with the event’s favorite traditions—the Patriotic Sing-along, an appearance by the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus and the1812 Overture followed by a retrospective Fireworks Extravaganza. MUSIC FROM NORFOLK: LIVE FROM THE SHED
July 4th - July 25th, Saturdays, 7PM

The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival continues with live performances by Norfolk Festival Artists and Alumni streamed from the stage of the historic Norfolk Music Shed as well as other locations across the globe every Saturday evening in July. The series kicks off on July 4th with the Brentano String Quartet presenting a concert of works by Beethoven and Matthew Aucoin. Tune in at 7PM for a pre-concert conversation between Festival Director Melvin Chen and the performing musicians as they discuss music and musical life on stage. Free.

GREAT BERKSHIRE SCAVENGER HUNT: BERKSHIRE BESTS
July 5th, Saturday, 10AM - 4PM

Don’t miss what is sure to be a fabulous new tradition—the first ever Great Berkshire Scavenger Hunt. Pull together a small group (1 - 5 people) for a day of puzzle solving, exploration, competition and, maybe, even winning! Each team will receive a list of Berkshire spots worth discovering and the clues to find them and compete with the other teams for gift cards to a Berkshire cultural venue of your choice and, of course, bragging rights. The only thing your team needs to compete is a smart phone, some puzzle-solving abilities and a sense of adventure and fun. Each team just needs one ticket to participate. $20.
