Fresh Grass Bluegrass Festival

From September 19th, through the 21st Mass MoCA in North Adams is hosting the Fresh Grass Bluegrass Festival where fans of Bluegrass music can come enjoy the genre for a whole weekend.

This family friendly festival offers four stages in the Mass MoCA galleries, courtyards and surrounding grassy fields - where attendees can also camp.

The line up features over twenty-eight talented acts including headliners Emmylou Harris, Railroad Earth, and The Carolina Chocolate Drops. Also on the bill are Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn, Sam Bush and The Infamous Stringdusters.

As well as amazing performances, Bluegrass fans can also attend workshops including instrument specific classes that focus on playing techniques and seminars with industry professionals and performers. The free workshops are provided in conjunction with Berklee College of Music and its American Roots Program.

This festival focuses on building a connected community of Bluegrass lovers of all ages, actively keeping the genre alive while honoring its American traditions. For tickets click the Mass MoCA link below.
