Hotchkiss Library • The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon hosts noted local artists for group and one man shows. Currently we offer six shows per year with opening wine and cheese receptions on Sunday afternoons. The public is welcome to attend these receptions and view the art during regular library hours. A portion of the proceeds of the art sales goes to benefit the Library.

The Norfolk Library • Miss Isabella Eldridge established the Norfolk Library as a memorial to her parents. Today the library still tries to serve the town as its founder would wish. Its goal is to offer its patrons modern library services in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere reminiscent of an earlier day.

Innisfree • From 1930 to 1960 Innisfree was the private garden of Walter and Marion Beck. At Innisfree the visitor strolls from one three-dimensional picture to another. Historic Homes

Ashley House • Built in 1735 by French and Indian War veteran Colonel John Ashley, this house is said to be the oldest complete house in the Berkshires. It is exquisitely decorated in Colonial period paneling, broad fireplace and staircase, hand carvings, ornaments and decorations and includes many items of pottery and tools. Ashley was a patriotic revolutionary and on this site in 1773 he helped draft the famous Sheffield Declaration, boldly vituperating the British Parliament.

Bidwell House and Gardens • The Bidwell House Museum is an elegant Georgian saltbox originally built circa 1750 as a parsonage. Authentically restored, filled with antiques and surrounded by 192 acres of beautiful grounds and hiking trails, the museum tells the story of the early settlement of the Berkshires. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum is open Thursday through Monday between 11 am and 4 pm from Memorial Day to Columbus Day with tours on the hour.

Chesterwood • Chesterwood, a National Trust Historic Site, is the country home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost sculptor of public monuments, Daniel Chester French (1850-1931), creator of the Minute Man and Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial. Situated on 122 acres in the idyllic hamlet of Glendale near Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the property and its buildings were donated to the National Trust for Historic Preservation by French’s only child, Margaret French Cresson (1889-1973).

Merwin House & Gardens • William and Elizabeth Doane purchased this handsome house in 1875 as their summer retreat. They named it "Tranquility," as it overlooks a peaceful bend in the Housatonic River.

Mission House & Gardens 1739 • Located on Main Street in Stockbridge, this National Historic Landmark was home to the first missionary to the Mohican Indians. It not only provides a glimpse into Colonial history but also the Native American tribe that lived here.

Naumkeag • This architectural masterpiece is, at its heart, a family home. Joseph Choate, a leading 19th-century attorney, hired the architectural firm of McKim, Mead, & White to design the 44-room “cottage," Naumkeag, which would serve as a summer retreat for three generations of Choates.

Springwood • "All that is within me cries out to go back to my home on the Hudson River". This quote captures Franklin Delano Roosevelt's connection to Springwood, the estate that he loved and the place he considered home.

Vanderbilt Estate • Vanderbilt Mansion NHS, in terms of architecture, interiors, mechanical systems, road systems and landscape, is a remarkably complete example of a gilded-age country place, illustrating the political, economic, social, cultural, and demographic changes that occurred as America industrialized in the years after the Civil War.

Ventfort Hall • Ventfort Hall was built in 1893 as a summer cottage by George and Sarah Morgan, sister of J.P. Morgan.
